A Renewed Mind
— Romans 12:2

A Renewed Mind
Sit. Notice the mind. No judgment.
The mind is doing its mind thing — thinking, planning, rehearsing. This is what minds do. The verse is not asking you to stop the mind. It is asking you to give it a new shape.
Renewing is slow. It is not a renovation. It is a slow, patient cultivation. The gardener does not rip out the weeds in anger. She pulls one, then another.
Today, just notice one thought that has been returning uninvited. Do not argue with it. Just see it. See it as a thought, not a truth.
The breath is the place where thoughts are seen, not obeyed.
A prayer
Lord, renew my mind — one breath, one thought at a time. Be patient with me. Amen.
Scripture
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds."
— Romans 12:2
For reflection
The mind is not a thing to be mastered. It is a garden to be tended. Today, we just pull one small weed.
